The Wild Turkey Archive app is a place for turkey hunting history to live, grow, and be shared.

Inside the app, you’ll find historic wild turkey hunting films preserved from original VHS/BetaMax tapes, archival 16mm footage, and original documentary content produced by the American Wild Turkey Historical Foundation.

This is not highlight content or social media clips.
These are full-length films, classic series, and real stories from the people who shaped turkey hunting as we know it.

For years, much of this footage lived in boxes, closets, and private collections. We are preserving it, restoring it, and making it accessible—so it isn’t lost to time.

This app is one of those places where that history now lives.

What You’ll See as a Wild Turkey Archive Insider

At launch, the Wild Turkey Archive includes a growing library of historic video content, featuring:

• Penn’s Woods
• National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF)
• Archival 16mm wild turkey footage from state agencies and wild turkey projects across the country

Many of these films have never been widely available in digital form.

More videos, collections, and restored footage are added regularly as new archives are preserved.

Why This Exists

Turkey hunting connects people from every background.

It doesn’t matter where you grew up, what you do for a living, or how you found your way into the woods. What matters is the respect for the bird, the land, and the people who came before us.

Our mission is to preserve and protect the history, heritage, and culture of the American wild turkey, so future generations understand where this tradition came from and why it matters.

This app exists to give that history a home.
