Get connected to Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) from your mobile!
TRA Mobile App is a modern elegant application that runs on Android smart devices (smartphones and tablets) offering easy access to some of TRA services. The app is carefully designed to support both small and large screen devices without losing a bit of performance and user experience while using it. The goal is enable taxpayers do a sort of self service while sitting back on their sofa without going to TRA office(s) for help.
TRA Mobile App offers the following wonderful features (Business features)
⬛ Verification
Users can verify Taxpayer Identity Number (TIN), VAT Registration Number (VRN), EFD serial as well as EFD receipts when they buy items from the sellers. Both of these verification listings can also be done by scanning QR codes printed on the respective papers.
⬛ Tax Returns
VAT registered taxpayers will be able to see both pending and submitted returns of a particular month of the year.
⬛ Payments (Bills)
Taxpayers can see issued bills (with their control numbers) under payments. Bills can either be pending, paid or cancelled. The bills appear as list so other functionalities like searching and filtering can easily be done. Also a control number can be copied right from the bill detail screen, making sharing fun!
⬛ My EFDs
Taxpayers who have EFD machines can see their machines under this module. They can see their machine status as per EFD states (Blocked, Active, Out of order etc), see Z number and the last reported date. Also, Other EFD details such as UIN, Model, Serial can be seen after opening EFD detail screen.
⬛ Tools
Comprises of both tools for used motor vehicle valuation and PAYE calculation. PAYE (Pay As You Earn) can be computed based on state i.e Zanzibar and Mainland with currency set to Tanzanian Shillings only.
⬛ Alerts
Appropriate notifications that the user needs to be notified about, will be seen under Alerts section of the app. Unread notifications count will be visibly highlighted right above the Alerts menu icon so that the user can see them. The user has the freedom to delete any notification at any time as he/she sees it fit.
