OudTuner is an oud tuner and practice app for the Arabic oud and the Turkish oud. It is built for oud players, not adapted from a guitar tuner or a generic chromatic tuner.

TUNE WITHOUT PICKING A STRING

Play any course. OudTuner identifies it with automatic course detection, then shows the detected note, the target note, the frequency in hertz, and how many cents you are away from being in tune.

Most oud tuning apps guess the wrong string. OudTuner picks the course you actually played. When you play the right note in the wrong octave it says so, instead of silently pointing you at the wrong target — the mistake that makes a low course so hard to tune. A noise gate and a confidence threshold hold the oud pitch tuner steady rather than flickering while people are talking in the room.

KNOW EXACTLY HOW FAR OFF YOU ARE

See the note, the target, both frequencies in hertz, and a live cents readout. Flat, sharp, and in-tune are obvious. When a course settles, a haptic confirmation lets you watch the peg instead of the screen. Tuning progress across all courses shows what is left.

RECORD AND HEAR YOURSELF

Record a practice session or a full oud performance. Play it back with a real waveform, 5-second skip, and rename. Trim a copy without touching the original, and share either the original or the trimmed clip. Recordings are saved on your device.

NO ADS. NO ACCOUNT.

OudTuner listens through your device microphone for pitch detection and local recording. Audio stays on your device unless you explicitly share a clip. There is no account and no sign-in. Not between tunings, not on launch, not anywhere.

OudTuner Pro may be offered through an auto-renewing annual subscription. Payment is charged through your Google Play account after confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play subscription settings. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
