App Description
Make smarter liming decisions backed by decades of WA research.
iLime is a decision-support tool designed in collaboration with farmers and consultants to estimate the long-term impact of lime application on soil pH, crop yield, and profitability. Built around the trusted Optlime model, iLime simplifies complex soil acidity calculations into a mobile interface that’s intuitive and field-ready.
Developed through ongoing cycles of feedback and refinement, iLime empowers users to explore different liming strategies—tailored to their soil, crop, fertiliser, and lime characteristics—and view their effects over a 20-year horizon.
iLime is based on the Optlime spreadsheet model, originally created during the 'Time to Lime' program (1996–2001) using field-tested principles of soil acidity. It has been extensively validated and enhanced with over a decade of Western Australian research.
Whether you're a grower, agronomist, or researcher, iLime provides a reliable, science-backed way to assess the economic and agronomic benefits of liming—where and when it counts.
