App Description
The game that lets you unlock a child's childhood.
Run, Dodge, and Donate: Unlock a Childhood
Unlocked is more than a game: it's an interactive experience that reflects the reality of child labor. During the day, the game remains locked because the main character is working.
When attempting to play, a message is displayed explaining the situation, raising awareness about the cause. The game can only be played in two ways:
- From 8:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., when Francisco is no longer working.
- Or by unlocking it through a monthly subscription of USD $15, which is equivalent to real-life sponsorship of a child from the La Merced Foundation.
Once unlocked, the game becomes an endless runner where the character runs through tropical landscapes, dodging obstacles (such as bushes, rocks, frisbees, and balls), and collecting pencils—a symbol of access to education—to score points.
Every time the player completes a level, they receive a hopeful message from the character:
“Today was a good day. I ran. I played. I felt free. Thanks to you.”
The goal is not only to entertain, but to inspire concrete action: to help restore childhood to thousands of children who are losing it.
Highlighted Features:
- Game locked from midnight to 8:00 PM
- Unlocking via donation/sponsorship
- Simple infinite runner-style gameplay
- Colorful and animated scenarios
- Pencil collection = points mechanic
- Direct integration with the La Merced Foundation
